I am a Columbia native with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Event and Convention Management from our very own Stephens College. My experience in the community ranges from internships with local catering and event companies such as Fresh Ideas Management, SC Events, and A2D Events. After graduation, I worked as an Event Specialist at The Atrium on Tenth and saw through a variety of events of different magnitudes. Additionally, during my time at Stephens, I completed over 810 event hours in several categories of events including corporate, social, fundraising, and sports and entertainment, as well as my capstone project with the City of Columbia. I served as Event Operations Chair on the Student Programming Council, and I participated in other organizations and honors societies like Res Life, DECA, Alpha Lambda Delta, and Black Women Enlightened, where I served in an event lead role in each. I’ve also had the opportunity to receive training from the Institute of Weddings and Events.
Since I was a young girl, I’ve always had a passion for events and serving others in that capacity. My love for it only grew stronger as I progressed in my education, experience, and exposure to industry. In college is where I decided for sure that I wanted to pursue a career in luxury event design. My favorite part of the event is watching the client embrace the outcome and see the impact that the aesthetic of the space has on them. A closely related hobby of mine is crafting and doing special projects. It’s one way that I like to express, and challenge, my creativity and event designer skills.
I highly value personalization and customization which is important because each event is unique to the client. I strive to learn each client that I design for so that they connect with their event through even the smallest details. I can’t wait to create for you!
